No Rebel Treble But Plenty of Positives From 2021

In a season where Cork won two U20 All Ireland hurling titles in the space of a month and ended a 20 year wait for Minor All Ireland glory, yesterdays defeat to Limerick shouldn’t over shadow what has been an outstanding year for Cork hurling.

The rebels couldn’t keep pace with John Kiely’s men in Croke Park yesterday, losing on a scoreline of  3-32 to 1-22.

Limerick’s performance is being hailed as one of the greatest All Ireland final displays ever seen.

Rebels boss Kieran Kingston told Red FM Sport after the game that the Treaty county were on another level on the day, but reflected on the underage successes and how it may bode for the future.
