Northern Ireland: Man (23) Arrested In Relation To Attempted Murder Of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell

In the North, a 23 year old man has been arrested in relation to the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell.

The PSNI say it’s in connection with the claim of responsibility made following the attack.

He was arrested under the Terrorism Act following the search of a property in Derry this morning, and taken to Belfast for questioning.

DCI Caldwell remains in a critical condition in hospital following the shooting outside Omagh last month.
