Over 100 People Turned Out For Solidarity Rally In Navan, County Meath Yesterday

Over 100 people turned out for a solidarity rally in Navan in County Meath yesterday.

They gathered at Páirc Tailteann in support of the 14 year old boy who was attacked in the town on Monday.

A number of local people, groups and politicians took part in the event.

Co-Chair of Navan Pride, Patrick Lawlor says the community was left reeling over the attack:

“It was basically called because the people of the town were very much disgusted by what happened earlier in the week. There was a real shock – a sense of shock in the town. It was, kind of, the only thing that’s been on everybody’s mind really”.
