Over €4 million owed to Cork City Council
Over €4 million in derelict sites levies is owed to Cork City Council.
The figures come from a parliamentary question by Cork TD Thomas Gould who says the government must do more to support the Council to collect the levy.
Sinn Féin say there are just 1,251 sites on derelict sites registers around the country, including 95 in the City and just one in County Galway.
Nationally, the party says the state is owed over €12 million in uncollected derelict sites levies.
