Pedestrian Killed In Crash In Offaly

A pedestrian has been killed in a crash in Offaly.
The man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene, following the collision with a car on the R446 at Marshbrook, just outside Moate, shortly before 2 o’clock this morning.
The occupants of the car received medical attention, but were not seriously injured.
The road will remain closed until a technical examination of the scene takes place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time – especially those with dashcam footage – to come forward.
