Revolut is to offer car insurance in Ireland

A spokesperson for the company says it will be a ‘hassle-free user experience’.
It will include a device being installed in the car which can offer discounts of up to 25% for safe driving.
Charlie Weston from the Irish Independent says Revolut are very keen on the Irish market:
“Possibly Revolut have something up their sleeves, they’re going to cherry pick the market [and] going to go for safe drivers, they’re talking about telematics- one of these smart devices you put into your car. If you’re a careful driver, you’re a low risk obviously and then you’ll get a discount based on that. They’re saying that’s in addition- up to 25% in addition to the 30%.”
