Russia’s Supreme Court Orders Country’s Best Known Human Rights Group To Be Liquidated

Russia’s Supreme Court has ordered the country’s best known human rights group to be liquidated.

Memorial’s been told to shut down for breaking a law on registering as a foreign agent – but the movement claims it’s politically motivated.

There have been a number of recent crackdowns on opposition groups.

But Moscow says it’s simply been enforcing laws to curb extremism.
