Ryanair is considering reopening its Cork base

Last October, the airline said it would shut its Cork operation due to Covid restrictions.

While the company still operates flights out of the airport, dozens of pilots and cabin crew employed at the base were temporarily laid off.

The Airport closed on Monday for ten weeks to allow the main runway to be rebuilt.

Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson says it is looking at reversing the decision to close the base
