Some Of BBC’s Best Known Presenters Tweet Denying Paying Teenager To Send Explicit Images
Some of the BBC’s best known presenters have tweeted to deny paying a teenager to send them explicit images.
The scandal involves an unnamed personality who allegedly began contact with the victim when they were just 17.
Some stars like Nicky Campbell, Gary Lineker, Rylan Clark and Jeremy Vine have issued denials after being falsely accused online.
Media law consultant Ian Bloom says the Corporation needs to act:
“At the moment the pressure is clearly on the BBC to do something and to do something quickly. The rumour mill on the internet is in overdrive, and every possible presenter is is been suggested. That’s intolerable for all of them who are not the one in question”.
