State sells last Bank of Ireland stake
The state has sold off the last of it’s stake in Bank of Ireland.
Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe says the final shares were sold for around €841 million.
The state has now recovered almost €6.7 billion in cash from it’s €4.7 billion bailout of the bank.
The bailout took place at the height of the financial crash, between 2009 and 2011.
