Study shows being fully vaccinated halves likelihood of long Covid
A study suggests being double-jabbed halves the likelihood of long Covid in adults who get Covid.
Researchers also say people were 73%t less likely to be admitted to hospital with the virus if they’re fully vaccinated.
They analysed data from more than two million people, between December 2020 and this July.
Dr Claire Steves is the lead researcher and is encouraging people to get their jabs.
“It’s really the best strategy that we have for preventing acute Covid, which can be really nasty.
“It also appears to be the best strategy for preventing long Covid, which is a condition we don’t really have any treatment for.”
