Doctors in Sudan say at least 56 people have been killed and around 600 injured in a power struggle.
Gunfire and explosions have been witnessed in the capital – as violence caps weeks of tension between the army and a strong paramilitary force.
The country’s supposed to be transitioning towards democracy.
