Support Persons To Have Access To Care Homes To Visit Specific Resident Even If Resident Has Covid

From Monday, support persons will have access to care homes to visit the resident who has nominated them, even if the resident has Covid.

Social activities at residential care facilities will resume in full for those who are not infectious, and new admissions to homes will only be restricted where an outbreak is observed.

When residents get COVID-19 the periods of time they need to spend in isolation is reduced to 10 days if they’ve been vaccinated.
