Tánaiste Condemns Expulsion Of General Secretary Of European Trade Union Confederation From Tunisia

The Tánaiste has condemned the expulsion the general secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation from Tunisia.
Irish woman Esther Lynch has been ordered to leave the north African country after participating in a demonstration.
Micheál Martin says; “Ireland unreservedly supports the rights of trade unions to conduct their important work free from harassment, intimidation and fear”.
The confederation has described the move as “the tip of the iceberg in an anti-union crackdown” in Tunisia.
