Tánaiste rules out affordable public transport proposal

The Tánaiste has ruled out a proposal to provide unlimited public transport use for €9 a month.
The suggestion forms part of the Labour Party’s alternative Budget, which was also raised by its leader in the Dáil this afternoon.
Ivana Bacik says a similar proposal was brought in in Germany.
Tanaiste Leo Varadkar says it was then abandoned.
