Taoiseach, And Leader Of Britain’s Labour Party, Express Hope Progress Can Be Made On Northern Ireland Protocol

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and the leader of Britain’s Labour Party Keir Starmer have expressed hope that progress can be made on the Northern Ireland Protocol.

They held a meeting in Davos this morning, where the World Economic Forum is being held this week.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar told Mr Starmer the Irish economy is still benefiting from growth – but inflation is impacting people and business.

Keir Starmer was also briefed about a new Child Wellbeing unit being set up in the Department of the Taoiseach, inspired by a similar project under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
