Taoiseach says the Government will provide resources to put HEPA air filters in classrooms
Micheál Martin says they may not be needed in every classroom, and government data questions the real world application of such filters.Opposition parties have called for the filters in order to reduce Covid transmission in schools. Micheál Martin says they will be provided in certain situations:
“I don’t think you’re listening to me, we’re not against HEPA filters, we’re for them and we provide resources for them. Okay, I’ve said this three times today already for just 50,000 classrooms across the country. Okay. 50,000 across the country between primary and post primary schools.
The department and the Minister are adopting a targeted approach.
