“It’s a huge vote of confidence in the region, huge vote of confidence in the employees at Merck here, and the company detailed to me the very significant role that this company played globally, this manufacturing facility here, in terms of all the antigen tests all over the world. So it gives you a very good snapshot of the extraordinary contribution that companies have of this scale and quality in Cork is making to the global healthcare sector.”
