Ireland’s mixed relay team are into the 4x400m Olympic final in Tokyo.

Corks Phil Healy put on a stellar second leg in what was a national record time of 3:12.88.

That initially put Ireland in fourth, with a decent chance of qualification, then the USA and the Dominican Republic were disqualified for lane infringements, ensuring qualification for the final in second in their heat.
