The Irish Travel Agents Association Say Their Industry Has Been The Worst Hit By Covid-19 Travel Restrictions
Tourism and travel figures have plummeted since the outbreak
The Association is warning that the delay in passport renewals will further damage their industry as customers who want to book flights abroad when the quarantine is lifted will be forced to wait for passport approval.
Pat Dawson is CEO of the ITAA and he says the industry is really struggling and has sought financial assistance from the Government.
Speaking to RedFM News he says they will be seeking grants not loans from the Government to help their businesses as many are currently relying on the wage subsidy scheme to keep afloat.
