- A school principal says everyone feels very lucky that a child hasn't been injured outside their school yet. It comes as Cork Educate Together National School are calling for a School Traffic Warden to be provided on Grattan Street in the city.
- A leading professor says Covid-19 remains a public health threat, despite a declaration the global public health emergency is over. The World Health Organisation announced the move yesterday, after three years.
- Guests are beginning to arrive for the Coronation of Britain's Prince Charles and his Consort, Camilla, at London's Westminster Abbey. The service itself gets underway at eleven o'clock.
- Tens of thousands of people have taken place in the annual Darkness Into Light walks. The events got underway at 4.15 am this morning. 14 official walks took place in Cork.
