SIPTU says it’s been given assurances its members jobs won’t be under threat if the Defence Forces are drafted in at Dublin Airport.

It’s been told the contingency plan is Covid related and will be triggered if there’s a spike in infections among airport security officers.

The airport’s been dealing with cancelled flights and delays over the last few weeks, but there was only a 5 minute wait at security last night.
