One man is dead and a second injured after separate gun attacks in Dublin.

Investigations are underway at the scenes of both shootings.

Both incidents happened within an hour of each other last night, however at this stage Gardai don’t believe there is any link between them.

Average rents have increased by more than 82 percent in Ireland compared to the EU average of 18 percent between 2010 and the second quarter of this year.

New figures from Banking and Payments Federation Ireland also show house prices during the same period increased by nearly 50 percent in the EU with average prices increasing by over 55 percent in Ireland.
