The Wanted are back!
The Wanted are making a comeback!
The group are reforming and releasing a Greatest hits album with new tracks as well as performing together for the first time in seven years for a charity concert in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Max George, Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran will release their Greatest Hits album on November 12th and will feature a collection of the group’s worldwide hits including number 1 singles, “All Time Low” and “Glad You Came”.
The Wanted began discussing a reunion in early 2020 to mark their 10th anniversary but along with the global pandemic, the devastating news that Tom Parker from the group was diagnosed with a brain tumour changed their plans. Tom turned this negative news into a positive and filmed a documentary for Channel 4 and Stand Up To Cancer titled “Tom Parker – Inside My Head” to raise awareness of the symptoms of the disease and to explore new treatments and research.
On the back of this Tom decided to stage a concert in the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 20th to raise funds for cancer research in which The Wanted will make their first appearance together in years.
The Wanted are one of Britain’s biggest pop bands, living a dream that has far surpassed even their most optimistic expectations. With over 12 million record sales worldwide, the band have notched up 10 UK Top Ten singles and 2 UK Number 1 singles. The band today still boast almost 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and have a huge worldwide following on their social media platforms.
