The United States says Russia’s military advances have largely stalled in Ukraine.

A senior US defence official says little progress was made over the weekend and Russia hasn’t taken any major cities or gained air superiority.

However loud blasts have been heard in the capital Kyiv this morning, though.


A British journalist working in Ukraine has been injured on the outskirts of Kyiv.

Fox News says its correspondent Ben Hall has been taken to hospital – but the network hasn’t given details on his condition.

It says its teams on the ground are “working to gather additional information”.


The first Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in two years is expected to attract thousands of people to the city centre on Thursday.

Around 2,500 people will be taking part in the parade, which is starting on the South Mall and will make its way along Grand Parade, Patrick Street and Merchants Quay.
