The top takeaway choices for Cork students have been revealed.
Just Eat has recently launched an interactive Freshers Fuel Map which allows people to educate themselves on how Ireland’s students across the country are fuelling themselves.
Chinese is the number one takeaway choice for students in Cork, with almost a third of all orders placed on the Just Eat app for Chinese takeaway.
Over 3 in 4 students from UCC and MTU order takeaway between 4-11pm, while weekends are Cork students most popular days to order a takeaway, with Sunday being the most favoured day.
Tuesdays are the least popular day to order a takeaway, with only 11% of students from each college placing orders on these days
Pizza orders come in as a strong second for Cork students with UCC students placing 15% of their orders to pizza restaurants and MTU students at 14%.
The most popular time for students in Cork to order a takeaway is between 4pm – 11pm (78% CIT, 76% UCC). This is also the most popular time for ordering in Letterkenny and Sligo. Athlone IT and NUIG students are the biggest late night snackers in the country placing the most orders after 11pm followed closely by students in UL and Trinity.
