Tributes paid to Paul O’Grady
Tributes have been pouring in for comedian and presenter Paul O’Grady, who has died at the age of 67.
His family say he passed way “unexpectedly but peacefully” yesterday evening.
LGBT campaigner Peter Tatchell said “he was one of the loveliest people you could ever meet” and TV presenter Lorraine Kelly described him as a “special man.”
O’Grady rose to fame as his drag alter-ego Lily Savage and went on to become one of Britain’s best-loved TV and radio hosts, presenting the likes of Blankety-blank and Blind Date.
