UK: Bank Of England Raises Base Interest Rate For Fourteenth Time In Row
Last updated on
In Britain, the Bank of England has raised the base rate of interest for the fourteenth time in a row.
It’s gone up by a quarter of a percentage point to 5.25%.
Eight out of nine members of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee voted for the rise.
The change will leave many mortgage holders paying more – but should mean better news for savers.
