UK: Chancellor to make statement on Britain’s economy this morning
Britain’s Chancellor will make a snap statement on the UK economy at 11 o’clock this morning.
It’s expected Jeremy Hunt will make more U-turns on last month’s mini-budget – to try to steady the UK markets.
Three Tory MPs are now publicly calling for Liz truss to quit.
Tory politician, Sir Roger Gale, says this shouldn’t be about party politics any more:
“This is real people, real lives, real homes, real small businesses that are at stake. This shouldn’t be about the Conservative Party but about the future of the country and the economy. I genuinely think that that is what Jeremy Hunt is seeking to address, we’ve got to keep the market stable.”
