UK Conservative Backbencher To Meet Police To Discuss Allegations Of Number 10 “Blackmail”

The UK conservative backbencher – who accused Number 10 of trying to “blackmail” MPs calling for Boris Johnson’s resignation – will meet police to discuss his allegations.

William Wragg says he’ll meet a Scotland Yard detective next week, raising the prospect that police could open an investigation.

It comes after Downing Street said it wouldn’t launch its own inquiry into the claims.
