UK: Keir Starmer slams Liz Truss on economic credibility

The British Prime Minister insists she’s a fighter not a quitter.

However, shouts of “resign” could be heard as Liz Truss answered questions from MPs in the House of Commons.

On Monday most of her tax policies were shredded by her chancellor, and Labour leader Keir Starmer says her economic credibility is gone:

“Working people are going to have to pay 500 quid more a month on their mortgages, and the Prime Minister’s response is to say she’s sorry? What does she think people will think and say ‘that’s alright, I don’t mind financial ruin, at least she apologized.”
