UK: Liz Truss gives final address
The outgoing British Prime Minister says it’s been a “huge honour” to have led the country, as she gave her final address.
Liz Truss, the UK’s shortest serving PM, says “brighter days lie ahead” and wished Rishi Sunak “every success” as her replacement.
Her husband and two teenage daughters accompanied her out of Downing Street.
She’s gone to Buckingham Palace to formally hand her resignation in to King Charles.
