UK: Lorry Driver Who Killed Three People In Crash While Watching Facebook Video On Phone Jailed For 12 years

A lorry driver who killed three people in a crash after watching a video on Facebook on his mobile has been jailed for 12 years in Britain.

Michal Kopaniarz – originally from Poland – was typing into a satnav app as his HGV ploughed into two broken-down cars on the A303 in Hampshire in August 2021.

Dash-cam footage showed the 39-year-old snapping his phone in two after the crash – to try to destroy evidence.
