UK: New Chancellor scrapping mini-budget tax measures

Britain’s new Chancellor is scrapping almost all of the tax measures announced in the mini-budget three weeks ago.

Revealing his plans two weeks earlier than expected, Jeremy Hunt said the “basic rate of income tax will stay at 20% indefinitely” rather than dropping to 19%.

He believes the most important thing for the UK right now is stability.
