Ukrainian grain set to be shipped to Ireland

A shipment of grain from Ukraine is bound for Ireland.

Defence officials in Turkey say three ships loaded with grain have left two ports in Ukraine.

The vessels, said to be carrying a total of 58,000 tonnes of corn, are headed for Ireland as well as the UK and Turkey.

A deal was brokered by Turkey and the UN at the end of last month, after supply shortages contributed to food prices rising around the world.
