The US President is calling for “peaceful protest” ahead of the release of footage which will show a black motorist being beaten.
29-year-old Tyre Nichols died three days after his arrest as a result of a three minute beating by five officers.
They have been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and official misconduct.
His mother says she fears a violent reaction when footage of the incident is released to the public later.
