Vacant properties in Cork to be redeveloped in new multi-million euro scheme

The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, has announced the first list of properties to be redeveloped, under a ‘community hub’ scheme.

The first set of properties includes the purchase of vacant units in Roscommon, Cork, Limerick, Wexford, Wicklow and Galway.

€7.5 million has been set aside to develop 36 vacant buildings.

They’ll be taken into public ownership and turned into events spaces for communities.
