Violent Clashes In France Between Protesters And Police As Thousands Oppose Pension Reforms

There’ve been violent clashes in France between protesters and police after thousands took to the streets in opposition to pension reforms.

Objectors lit fires in the Paris, while there are reports of shop windows and bank fronts being smashed elsewhere.

61 people have reportedly been arrested following the disorder.

It’s after President Macron pushed an unpopular change to the state pension age through Parliament – without a vote – raising it from 62 to 64.
