West Cork fishermen warning Irish fishing industry faces total collapse unless government increases quotas and reduce costs

The sector supports over 16,000 jobs around the country, with industry groups saying many jobs will be lost unless more is done to protect it.

Fishermen say they are forced to spend longer at sea, are having difficulty employing crew and are facing huge costs to keep their boats seaworthy.
