The north west is expected to see the strongest winds – with gusts reaching as high as 110 kilometres an hour.
It comes ahead of another storm set to hit the country on Friday – with a combined yellow snow, rain and wind warning being issued for the entire country. Meteorologist with Met Eireann, Emer Flood, says they’re monitoring it closely:“It has potential to be a multi-hazarded event, at the moment it’s looking like the strongest winds will be occurring over the southern half of the country.”
