Speaking to RedFM News Padraig Barrett Director of Services with Cork County Council says tidal flooding in Bantry is a real concern:
"We've high tide there just after 4 o'clock, which coincides with the winds turning in a westerly direction, and that wind will still be gusting at that point so we are worried about flooding inventory around 4 o'clock and the rainfall will still be continuing up to that time but easing thankfully but we are concerned about tidal flooding as we move through the afternoon."
