A private funeral will be held for a 58-year-old woman whose body was discovered at her home in the city this week.
Joyce O'Mahony from Brookfield Lawn in The Lough could have died up to two years ago.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to Joyce O'Mahony's home on Tuesday after pest control services suspected that the property was the source of a vermin problem in the area.
The property was overgrown with a parked car in the drive way with no activity for some time.
The remains of the 58 year old were found in her home and foul play was ruled out while there was no sign of forced entry to the property.
Dental records were used to identify Ms O'Mahony but a post mortem wasn't able to determine the time of her death.
Gardaí will continue their investigation to find out when Joyce O'Mahony died and an inquest will take place.
Her funeral will take place privately.
