A protest by people who are frustrated with the city’s bus service will take place this weekend.
Public transport users will gather at Parnell Place on Saturday at midday.
It comes as City Council is being urged to support a motion to write to the Transport Minister and the National Transport Authority raising the reliability issues of the city's bus services and meet with Gardai and bus drivers to identify "pinch points" where illegal parking is causing buses to be delayed
The motion also requests the Council seek an urgent review of timetables by the end of October and the credibility of delivering these timetables given the consistent delays
There is currently a shortage of 54 drivers in the city while Bus Eireann says it’s held a number of open days to recruit more staff.
