A deluge of rain is expected to hit many parts of the country later today.
A yellow warning for rain will kick in for Cork and five other counties from 10pm.
There's a risk of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions until 10am tomorrow.
Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel says the rain will be heavy:
"That is for rainfall totals up between 30 to 50, millimeters in some parts- specifically across Atlantic coastal counties. Here, we will see the heaviest of the rain, though. Everywhere is expected to see some heavy rain at times, through tonight and into tomorrow morning, Tuesday."
