Resources were split as Cork City Fire Brigade responded to a number of incidents overnight

Crews from Anglesea Street rescued a man from the river at Grenville Place at around 10.20pm last night.

Meanwhile there were two crashes in the city at the same time and a small housefire in Glanmire.

Speaking to RedFM News, Victor Shine from Cork City Fire Brigade says crews were busy in the city:

"With the weather conditions on last night as well, some fire crews were extremely busy last night with automatic fire alarms. It was two road traffic collisions in the city pretty much at the same time so the resources, they were were split."
