Sarsfield Hurling Club says flood damage to its premises will cost well over €1m.
Work has begun to repair the GAA club's pitches and clubhouse that were devastated by floods after Storm Babet.
The club made the decision to open the gates onto the pitch to save homes and businesses in Glanmire from getting flooded.

Speaking to RedFM News, Chairperson of Sarsfield Hurling Club, Keith Mulcahy says everything needs to be replaced:
"The pitch is the main one obviously, the drainage, the lighting, also our gym area, our spinning room, they were all wiped out, we're at the stage where we have to start the work, the astro work has started, but it's an awful lot of money anyway, it's well over €1m."
