The Coast Guard is searching for a missing yacht which was due to arrive in Baltimore seven days ago.
The Echo report that the vessel was taking part in the Jester Challenge, a non racing sail from the South West of England to Cork.
The 25 fight vessel “Minke” departed from Plymouth on June 18th, with captain Duncan Lougee the only person aboard for the 250 nautical mile voyage, and was due to arrive on June 22nd.
It was one of 43 vessels taking part, all the others have been accounted for.
The Irish Coast Guard is continuing to reach for the vessel, with assistance from their UK counterparts
