Sexual Violence Centre Cork says Ireland's rental crisis is making it easier for landlords to exploit vulnerable tenants.
The centre which helps victims of sexual abuse is calling for the exchange of sex-for-rent to be recognised as a crime.
Speaking to RedFM News, Mary Crilly from the Sexual Violence Centre Cork says the abuse needs to stop:
"The more expensive it gets easier to be for these landlords to find young girls and young guys who are really stuck and who do need accommodation and who they can abuse in whatever way they can. Sometimes that might sound a bit strong, "abuse" but that's what it is."
