The Sexual Violence Centre Cork says people shouldn’t have to worry about their drink being spiked.
The group has launched a “spiking awareness campaign” with UCC and MTU to encourage people not to spike drinks.
With more parties and nights out coming up during the Christmas season, the centre says a drink can look and taste the same even if it’s been spiked.
Speaking to RedFM News, Mary Crilly of the Sexual Violence Centre Cork says the blame shouldn’t fall on the victim:
We have an awareness campaign about drink spiking which really is just "don't spike" it's not about "mind your drink or "mind your straw" and UCC and MTU are taking it on board too so I think that's really good."
