Sinn Féin claims it could provide childcare for all parents for €10 a day.
The Party says it would cost €345m to fund this and creches and childminders would be included.
There were 30 childcare closures across Cork last year.
Sinn Fein Spokesperson for Children, Claire Kerrane, says the proposal is feasible:
"So we want to use the existing national childcare scheme that is there, it currently provides a subsidy for parents. We want to spend €105m on closing the gap between current fees which providers cost and charge, and €10 to ensure that every parent pay no more than €10."
